"It's beginning to smell a lot like Christmas" Christmas Morning Stovetop Potpourri
Updated: Dec 12, 2021

Today, I am sharing with you my Christmas Morning Stovetop Potpourri
I remember my grandmother simmering a stovetop potpourri - that smell is forever embedded in my memory. I wanted to create a Christmas scent in our new home that our kids will always remember. This Christmas blend is absolutely delightful and the fresh and festive aroma it brings to your home is unmatched by any candle. Perfect for holidays or snow days. There is nothing better than a pot of homemade potpourri simmering on the stove.

Ingredients:
Ground Cinnamon, Ground Nutmeg, Whole Cloves, Cinnamon Sticks, Dried Oranges, Dried Apples, Cranberries, Bay Leaves, Pinecone with Balsamic Pine Essential Oil .
*I used the dehydrator feature on my oven to dry out the oranges and apple slices.
**Let your kids collect pine cones from outside. Drop a few drops of Balsam Pine Essential Oil onto the pine cones. I found the essential oil at the Dollar Tree along with the clear bags and twine.

To make:
Pour into pot, cover with water, simmer on low heat, add more water when needed, enjoy!

I hope this Christmas blend will create lasting memories with your family!
